The Khomas Regional Council through its income-generating projects allocated funds to each constituency to assist smaller businesses to grow.

The Khomasdal Constituency has received its share of N$ 225 000 to assist 21 businesses.

Businesses that received support include hair salons, kapana, laundry, takeaways, soap making, tailoring and printing shops.

The Councillor for Khomasdal Constituency Samuel Angolo says the programme is a welcome boost to the struggling businesses.

"They must go out there, especially with targeting the youth. by employing them because they are the most unemployed people, they must not take this thing for granted, is from their government, they must utilize it to the best of their ability, and they must employ one or two."

The day's theme was "For a Great Mind, nothing is little" and one of the beneficiaries who produce different kinds of soaps Martha April had this to say.

April has been producing soaps since 2020.

"I am very thankful for the equipment we got, as for the past three years, we have been producing these soaps with just our hands, these machines will really help."

She also encouraged entrepreneurs not to be discouraged but to push through no matter the circumstances.
