Hard work pays off for NAMCOL's top performers, as the parastatal awarded 40 top achievers in the Senior Secondary Certificate last year who walked
away with more than N$50,000 in cash prizes.

The prize-giving ceremony is NAMCOL's annual token of appreciation for the hard work, and dedication of its learners.

The best overall NSSCO learner in 2022 is Joseph Othello who obtained four A's and received a voucher as well as N$15,000 for his scholarship, and a tablet.

The northeastern region emerged as the best-performing among the regions.

The hard-working students received cash prizes from sponsors such as Bank Windhoek, Retirement Fund Solutions, and Cymot, among others.

They received prizes for best overall NSSCO performers per subject, and best-performing regions walking away with a floating trophy.

The learners awarded were only those who obtained As, A pluses, Bs, and Cs.

Namcol director, Harold Murangi, says there was a decline in performance last year, with only one subject that performed better, which is English.

The institution did not turn down students this year because Namcol has made provision for Grade 10, 11, and 12 learners online.

In addition the college has increased the face to face teaching.

Windhoek West constituency Councilor, Emma  Muteka, encouraged learners not to give up and to carry themselves with dignity as they are the Ambassadors of NAMCOL.
