The police in the Kavango West Region say that despite a few cases of criminal activity, the region is doing well in terms of curbing crime. They say no serious crimes have been reported in the region of late.

Nampol's Head of Operations in Kavango West, Johannes Muronga, indicated during Operation Genesis at Nkurenkuru that the police are doing their best to ensure that crime is prevented.

Although policing seems to be going well in the region as per the low number of serious crimes recorded, Muronga made a clarion call to the community to work with the police to ensure that all criminal activities are reported and dealt with.

Also joining the operation was the women's network in Nkurenukuru, representing all fourteen regions for a workshop.

Nampol's Deputy Commissioner and Head of the Gender Welfare Directorate, Rosalia Nailowgah Shatilweh, a representative of the network in the Gender and Welfare Directorate, narrated that women are always ready to serve the community wherever they find themselves.
