Katere Primary School held a memorial service for the late Kangungu family members, who died due to suspected food poisoning.

Of the 16 family members, eight were learners at the school.

They are: Mushongo Angelina (6), Shishugho Innocentia Matumbo (6), Mungamba Roswitha (6), Mungamba Rebecca Mwengere (7), Shishugho Rosalia Runguro (10), Shishugho Vishaka (12), Shishugho Mununga (14) and Shishugho Gilbert Hausiku (16). 

The main memorial service will be held on Friday at the Kangungu homestead, while the burial will be on Saturday.
