The Namibian Society of Composers and Authors of Music (NASCAM) has appointed Albert Nicanor as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1st, 2023.

NASCAM Board member Knowledge Ipinge lauded Nicanor, saying the new boss brings a wealth of inspirational and thought-leadership skills to the Collective Management Society.

"He is well-positioned to lead NASCAM into its next phase of growth and success, with his proven track record as a Manager at New Era Investment Pty Ltd, Deputy Director and Development Planner at the Ministry of Justice, Financial Technical Advisor at Lux Development, and Financial and Administration Manager at Roshkor Township Pty Ltd."

Nicanor replaces John Max, who resigned from the body in December last year.
