The Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Natalia |Goagoses visited the bereaved family of the late Councillor of Usakos and Deputy Mayor Aletta Katiti Sem.

PDM Councillor Sem died on Sunday after complaining of chest pain during a church service.

She was transported to the hospital, where she died a few hours later.

While addressing the community and family of the late Sem, the Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Natalia |Goagoses pleaded with the community to honour Sem's legacy by turning Usakos into an economic centre and to turn away from social ills.

"To be honest, I did not know to which political party she belonged. I have seen in Councillor Sem a leader, a servant leader who served everyone who came to knock at her doorstep, irrespective of the social and economic standing of such a member. That's why I will always remember Councillor Sem as a servant leader. An unsung hero of our republic."

|Goagoses also pleaded with the youth in Usakos to abandon the use and abuse of drugs and alcohol in order to develop the community they live in.

Sem's funeral service is yet to be announced.
