Oshana Governor Elia Irimari has encouraged female parliamentarians participating in a capacity-building workshop for women parliamentarians in Oshakati to advocate for more funding for the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc).

This step is essential to enabling the broadcaster to expand its reach across all 14 regions of the country.

Irimari emphasises that, as the sole state-owned national broadcaster, the nbc should be granted sufficient financial resources to fulfill its crucial mandate of providing informative, educational, and entertaining content to both Namibian citizens and the global community.

The Oshana governor further highlights the necessity for the nbc to acquire cutting-edge equipment that aligns with emerging technologies.

Furthermore, Irimari commended the Oshakati news team for ensuring comprehensive coverage of significant events throughout the Oshikoto, Ohangwena, Omusati, Oshana, and Kunene regions.
