Heroes are often described as selfless people willing to make sacrifices to help others.
49-year-old Erica Uses is a lifeline to more than 60 marginalised youth.
Uses, an unemployed single mother of four, houses about 14 marginalised youth, whom she assists with furthering their studies and provides with food on a daily basis.
Uses says her love of helping others comes from her life experience growing up as a girl in a marginalised community.
The unemployed mother of four says she looks for donors and sponsors to help her lay a foundation for the needy.
Uses says she had always wanted to own an orphanage, and even though it did not go as planned, she shares what she has.
Uses is calling on everyone to help those who cannot help themselves.
She says this can reduce prostitution or criminal activities.
Some of the marginalised children who benefited from Uses' generosity expressed their gratitude, and highlighted that they were not aware of the benefits of marginalised people, but through Uses, they have come this far.
