The 2nd Fun Run organized by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is going to be held in four different towns next month.  The theme for this year's run is "Running for Cancer," which is a global recognition of October as Cancer Awareness Month.  The NBC Fun Run aims to promote the well-being of NBC employees and the corporation strongly believes that healthy employees contribute to decreased absenteeism and increased productivity. This was emphasized by NBC's Employee Engagement Officer, Lucy Rocco.

"The NBC Fun Run is more than just a physical event. It is a testament to the power of unity and collective action. It represents the dedication of NBC, to the stuff, viewers and to the broader community, because we believe that by working together we can make many meaningful impact and contribute to the well-being of our society."

"Equally important is our commitment to extending the positive impact of this event to our local community as a further extension of our corporate social responsibility, and this will be held under the NBC Cares umbrella. The Miss Namibia Organization, as part of the NBC as well as local sports personalities will also join hands with us and run/walk. And for Miss Namibia, Miss Earth, Ms Universe, Miss World and Miss Teen, They will also strut for us. Join hand with us and you can and meet your representative will be taken to the world, to the international stages later this year and next year and meet your favourite sporting heroes and heroines."

Beaulah Boois-Beukes, the public relations officer of NBC, is encouraging the public, NBC employees, and management to participate in this upcoming run. She believes that the NBC Fun Run goes beyond being just a race. It symbolizes a commitment to building a stronger sense of community among the participants.

I my self will be taking a work every slow walk,I trust that and I think the rest of the courage will join in running , you can choose from various categories to run or to  walk , and this is to ensure inclusive and accessibility to everyone. So the registration are officially open online and will be extivation hosted In a mentioned region. The registration will cost you N$50.00 only very affordable and for those who want to putting it back, it will be N$150 . We look forward to seeing you whether you're in Windhoek, Oshakati,Katima Mulilo or whether you're in Rundu and next year we hope we will extend to the rest of the country…
