Justice Moses Chinhengo was sworn in as Acting Judge of the High Court today.

Chinhengo was appointed by President Hage Geingob on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission from September to December 2023. The swearing-in was administered by Judge-President Petrus Damaseb.

Justice Moses Chinhengo was appointed to specifically preside over the matter of the state vs. Ricardo Gustavo and 27 others. Earlier this year, the Supreme Court also saw the swearing-in of acting judges, Lady Justices Rita Tambudzai Makarau and Johanna Sophia Prinsloo, as well as Esi Malaika Schimming-Chase.
