Ohangwena Regional Governor Walde Ndevashiya, through his lawyers Sisa Namandje & Co., has instituted legal action against Tomas Puleinge, demanding N$250,000 in compensation, following a widely circulated audio in which Puleinge alleged that the two children of a 31-year-old woman who was killed in Eenhana by her long-term boyfriend over the weekend were fathered by Ndevashiya.

The Governor also requested that Puleinge retract his defamatory statement no later than 19:00 this evening, Monday.

The death of Eva-Leena Kalimbo sent shockwaves through the Eenhana community and beyond after her 42-year-old boyfriend, Laurence Kapule Ndaoya, slit her throat, killing her instantly.

Ndaoya was later shot and killed on Sunday night by police after an exchange of fire.

In the meantime, Puleinge says he received the letter of demand and has yet to engage his legal representatives on the matter.
