The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) and Trustco Group have revived and unveiled the television game show Winna Mariba.

This exciting comeback follows the signing of a five-year memorandum of understanding between the national broadcaster and Trustco Group, paving the way for a series of engaging programmes.

The momentous joint announcement signifies a step forward in the production of local content.

Nico Mwiya, Chief Commercial Officer at the nbc remarked that the return of Winna Mariba signifies a significant milestone for both Trustco and the public broadcaster.

The media partnership reaffirms the two entities joint commitment to deliver exceptional entertainment to viewers.

"Earlier this year, when we signed the MOU with Trustco, we had KPIs in place, there were a lot of activities within the MOU, and we identified Winna Mariba, and we have done it. What is critical is that we have decided to take products of Trustco and nbc, like the TV licence. What we are saying is that people will take part by SMS to 777; if you are a paid-up member, you have automatically double your chance of winning, and likewise with Trsucto products."

Deputy CEO at Trustco, Quinton van Rooyen Jr., says that the journey to revive Winna Mariba has been driven by the company's unwavering dedication to enriching the daily lives of Namibians.

"I think we are in for an electric show; you can watch the show at any point in time; you can watch re-runs and user-generated content on all social media platforms; the show is a catalyst to start igniting the nation, and I'm looking forward to a great show."

Neville Basson and Miss Namibia 2000, Mia de Klerk, will once again host the show.
