The Leonardville Village Council has based its development strategic plan on various key pillars such as basic services, housing provision, good governance, and infrastructural upgrade aspects, among others.

This was shared by the Chief Executive Officer, Ephraim Dawids, in an exclusive interview with nbc News at Leonardville.

The Chief Executive Officer at Leonardville Village Council, Ephraim Dawids, says that despite limited resources, the council is focusing on some key projects, such as sewerage and sanitation, that have been a serious challenge at the village since its inception.

Dawids added that road upgrades at the village have also been given attention.

Keeping the village clean is another priority; hence, through key partners, a dumping site has been established, the CEO says.

Another project the council is busy with is ensuring that all streets have lights, and work has commenced, says Dawids.

Dawids also bemoans the vandalism of state properties by local people.

Leonardville has a population of more than 5,000 residents.
