Venezuela celebrated 25 years of its revolution at its Embassy in Windhoek yesterday.
The counsellor at the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Aurelin Diaz Gil, said the historic and political project of the Bolivarian Revolution has reached a quarter century since.
Dated to around 1998, Venezuela's transformation was aimed at achieving social equality, and inclusion, and ensuring the fundamental rights of the Venezuelan people.
Eight Namibians were awarded certificates during the event for a Spanish course they completed over six months at the Venezuelan Embassy.
Spanish classes are offered for free at the Embassy, a lecturer told those gathered, calling on Namibians who would like to diversify and learn new languages to enroll in the Spanish classes.
