The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc), Stanley Similo, has motivated his staff to up their game now more than ever, as all eyes, both national and international, are on the national broadcaster.
In a meeting with his senior team today, Similo called for heightened levels of professionalism, both visually and technically, in the coverage of the official mourning period, memorial, and funeral services.
The national broadcaster is the designated broadcaster for the official memorial and state funeral of the late president.
Similo's emphasis was on on-air quality assurance and underlined the importance of the heavy responsibility that nbc as a broadcaster is tasked with.
Similo, in his concluding remarks, thanked the nbc staff for a job well done thus far.
The meeting ended on a high and positive note.
