The Public Service Commission visited Casa Rosalia to express their condolences to former First Lady Monica Geingos and her family.

The team was led by the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission, Salmaan Jacobs, who signed the book of condolence and expressed their support during this difficult time.

Commissioner Nashilongo Shivute, who spoke on behalf of the Commission, expressed their gratitude for the guidance and support they received from President Hage Geingob and emphasised the importance of continuing to uphold the standards and values he instilled in the public service.

"The institution has grown up under the tutelage of our late president. He put the institution in place, set the policies, and trained the people. Those of us there came through the system as civil servants, and we value the system as civil servants, and we value the hand he has extended to make sure civil servants curry out the duty responsibility, effectively with accountability to serve the nation the way he would want, had been able to be everywhere all the time.'

The Public Service Commission says it is committed to honouring the late head of state's legacy by ensuring that civil servants carry out their duties with integrity, accountability, and dedication to serving the nation. 

They will continue to work towards upholding the high standards set by President Geingob and remain dedicated to serving the people of Namibia.
