Some of award winners shared their excitement about the Namibia Boxing & Wrestling Control Board first-ever Boxing Awards ceremony night.

Phillips 'Energy' Nghitumbwa was emotional when he received his award for Boxer of the Year. Flame 'Special One' Nangolo, who had previously called out Nghitumbwa to face him, seemed speechless with joy after his accolade ,but still maintained that he always had the upper hand over his fellow nominated boxers.

Also reacting to their achievements were Linekela Nghifindaka and his coach Jason Mshala after winning the Knockout of the Year award.

It was a special night for Imms Moses, who was stunned after winning two awards as both Trainer and Promoter of the Year. He believed all the nominees were deserving of recognition.

Moses noted that the recognition will go a long way in motivating boxers to reach greatness.
