President Nangolo Mbumba engaged leaders of all five traditional authorities in the Kavango East and West regions today.

The consultative meeting, which included representatives from Va Gciriku TA, Shambyu TA, Hambukushu TA, Va Mbunza TA, and Uukwangali TA, aimed to address key issues affecting the communities in the two regions, such as roads, clinics, networks, green schemes, and the restoration of the Mashare Agricultural College to its original function.

During the meeting, President Mbumba emphasised the importance of traditional authorities as the foundation of Namibian heritage and unity, connecting the people through shared blood and history to the land they call home. The President acknowledged the vital role that traditional leaders play in preserving cultural traditions and fostering a sense of community among their people.

President Mbumba expressed his commitment to listening to the voices of the traditional leaders and seeking their advice on matters of governance and community development. 

The President highlighted the significance of engaging with regional leadership, including governors, councillors, and the chairpersons of the regional council, as part of his approach to promoting development, peace, and unity in Namibia.
