President Nangolo Mbumba has returned from Livingstone, Zambia, after participating in the one-day Heads of State Summit for the Kavango-Zambezi Trans-Frontier Conservation Area. 

The summit was aimed at reviewing and tracking the progress made since the establishment of the Kavango Zambezi Trans-frontier Conservation Area (KAZA-TFCA) through the founding treaty in 2011.

The summit aligns with the country's strategies and vision for a green economy, which encourages balanced economic development while safeguarding the environment. 

The KAZA-TFCA is an important project that seeks to use sustainable tourism to promote rural development in the participating countries.

Mbumba was welcomed by Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and the Environment, Forestry, and Tourism Minister, Pohamba Shifeta, amongst other delegates.
