Business leaders and industry captains from all corners of Namibia gathered in Okahao Town for a fundraising gala dinner for the 3rd edition of the Ehao Cultural Expo.
Established in 2019, the Ehao Expo, which will be held on July 22–28, 2024, provides an opportunity for people to come together to celebrate their rich cultural heritage and foster economic growth where local businesses thrive.
Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was the Guest of Honour for the occasion.
"Under the banner of our culture, tonight we gather not only to celebrate our rich cultural heritage but also to embark on a journey of collective responsibility to contribute to the growth of Okahao Town through our collective and individual investment in the future of this town today and moving forward. The Ehao Cultural Expo, now in its third edition, stands as a testament to our community's resilience, creativity, and unity," said Vice President Nandi-Ndaitwah.
The governor of Omusati and the mayor of Okahao also spoke at the event.
"Development is not an event; it's a process; we are just now adding to what is already there. We never had Ehao Expo before, but today we have Ehao Expo. Is that not development? I am talking to the people of Okahao. You know, at some point we don't see how we develop, until one day you have to recall back when you appreciate the efforts of those who preceded us. The Okahao Town Council has really done a very good job," added Omusati Governor Erginus Endjala.
