The commemoration of the main event took place in the Ohangwena Region.
However, children from Orlindi Place of Safely, Dolam Children Home, Namibia Children Home, Hope Village, and SOS Children's Village gathered to commemorate the day with various activities, such as cultural performances, drama and creative dance, and motivational speeches.
