One of Namibia's notable female referees, Twanyayukwa Antsino, recently went home to a hero's welcome in the town of Walvis Bay.

A FIFA, CAF, and NFA certified referee, Twanyayukwa Antsino has recently enjoyed successful stints in international football.

Hailing from Oshikuku, in Omusati region, the referee is now an inhabitant of Walvis Bay, where her achievements were celebrated over the weekend, including a parade in the streets of the town.

She recently officiated at the Maurice Revello tournament in France, held from June 3rd to 16. Upon her return, her efforts were recognized.

Among those in attendance, offering their words of encouragement were the NFA President Robert Shimooshili and Martin Mwatunga.

Antsino also shared her journey with the people of the town and thanked them for their immense support.

Antsino has rubber stamped her name in the world of football, proving that women too have a voice and can make a meaningful impact, in a largely male-dominated field.
