On Tuesday,the Namibian Sports Commission marked two decades of honoring outstanding achievements in sports in the capital city, while officially launching this year's awards.

This year signifies a remarkable 20-year journey of sports excellence in Namibia, underscoring the continuous development of sports initiatives. The 20th edition aims to celebrate this journey by honoring the individuals and teams who have contributed to Namibian sports excellence. Nominations will open this Friday and will continue until September 20th.

Chairperson, Adjudication Panel, Lesley Tjiueza provided insights into the rigorous judging process. Additionally, the unveiling of the Wall of Fame took place , with details regarding its location and criteria to be announced soon.

"Let us prepare to celebrate the next Sportsman or Sportswoman of the Year” he said.
