Young people in the ||Kharas Region have welcomed the opportunities that will arise from the hosting of Miss Namibia and Miss Teen beauty pageants.

The beauty pageant is managed by the nbc.

Die Butch, with its breathtaking scenery, will host the prestigious finals of Namibia's beauty queens.

The platform showcases the remarkable talent, intelligence, and beauty of Namibia's diverse cultures, and young people are looking forward to it.

Youth activist Queen Peter says, "I think it is a great opportunity for a pageant of such magnitude to be brought to the south. Southerners are generally welcoming and warm people, and it's just yet another opportunity for us to show people what we from the south can offer and bring to the table. A pageant such as Miss Namibia will bring a lot of economic growth for the regions as well as for the town of Luderitz, and people will get to experience the beauty of the ||Kharas Region and the beauty of Luderitz."

Designer Cornel Lombaard says, "I am very excited that they are bringing Miss Namibia to the south of Namibia, especially for the young girls, to give them self-confidence and motivation, so I just want to say to the young girls, if you can dream it, you can believe it, and then you can achieve it, so don't try to be anyone else, just try to be yourselves because it's the best person you can be."

"It's a reality for the young women in the south, we only see this on TV, we only see people, or it's there somewhere in Erongo or somewhere in Khomas, but now that Miss Namibia is now coming to the ||Kharas Region, many young women and young girls can see that it's possible we can also get the confidence to see that doors are also being opened for us," says youth activist Valmary Jantjie.

Namibians are urged to make their way to the harbour town to witness the prestigious event on the 19th and 20th of July.
