His Majesty of Perlis in Malaysia, Tuariku Syed Faizzudin Pura Jamallulail, who is currently on an official visit to Namibia, yesterday paid a courtesy call to the training ground of Namibian football champions African Stars in Windhoek.
Speaking on behalf of His Majesty, the Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia in Namibia revealed that the visit to African Stars was a gesture of honorary appreciation for winning the local premiership and for their status as the best team in the country.
The Chairman of African Stars, Salomon Hei, could not provide further details on the visit but expressed a warm welcome to the delegation and presented His Majesty with the team's jersey.
Based on off-camera conversations, it appears that significant plans may be underway in the future to support the team as part of the existing bilateral relations between the two countries across various sectors.
