The third edition of the Kaj'aan Annual tournament concluded in Tsumkwe, Otjozondjupa region.
The two-day knockout competition featured 12 Football teams and three Netball teams.
The tournament organizer said that bringing sports to the community has been a challenge, especially in Tsumkwe where there is a limited sporting landscape.
This is the first tournament in the Tsumkwe settlement and the second in the entire constituency.
Kwasa Kwasa FC retained the soccer trophy, defeating Eastern Chiefs 2-1 in the final. Kwasa Kwasa received N$7,000, while Eastern Chiefs earned N$5,000. The two semifinalists each received N$1,500.
Koviao Maoma of Kwasa Kwasa expressed his satisfaction with the team's victory, despite limited playing time.
He highlighted his free-kick ability as a key factor in the final.
The tournament organizer also emphasized the challenges of finding qualified referees in Tsumkwe. Despite these difficulties, they managed to secure two second-division referees for the event.
The organizers are also seeking support from larger companies to develop sports in the constituency.
