Vasbyt Namibia brought motorsport excitement back to the capital after an eight-year absence.
Over the weekend 13 Vasbyt cars competed against each other across 10 different stages in two different classes.

Participants from around the country applauded the Vasbyt fraternity for reviving the event in the capital, noting that it adds exciting new challenges to the stages in different towns.
PJ Balhao from the coastal town of Walvis Bay, who lives with a disability, is a regular participant in the 4x4 event. He says that being disabled gives him extra motivation to continue participating.
Winners in different classes included Morne Oosthuizen and co-driver Richard Owen, who drove the PW & Seuns Se Moer in Category C with a total of 500 points.
JR La Cock and co-driver Simone Potgieter, driving Pumba, and Ewan Mans with co-driver Chantrice Harper, driving Ratel, finished tied on points in Class D with 430 points each.
