Vice President of the Swapo Party, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has called for unity among Namibians to drive the economic development of the country.
Nandi-Ndaitwah says the government wants to serve the nation with integrity, transparency, and full commitment.
The Vice President of the Swapo Party says members need to work hard in unity to ensure quality service delivery.
She says that service delivery is the biggest challenge that the country is faced with.
Nandi-Ndaitwah says the party's theme, which is unity in diversity, natural resource beneficiation, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, highlights the party's commitment to unity.
Therefore, the party leaders are urged to be ready for November 27's Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
"There are a lot of psychological attacks, and as party leaders, we must always keep close to our members so as not to become victims of those psychological attacks, so the media is on us; they are trying to say anything; some funny people are bringing in so many things so that they maybe take our people out of balance."
She dismissed claims that the Swapo Party does not have a presidential candidate.
"As a party leader, we all know that as party leaders we have a candidate, and we have chosen ourselves, so therefore, whoever is saying that we should just ignore it because we know the truth deep in our hearts, and that's the psychological war that I am saying that we must safeguard against. I want to tell you, as your leader and as your presidential candidate, that our campaign must be based on three pillars. Every time we are talking, we elaborate on those pillars."
