||Kharas Police Commander, Commissioner Marius Katamila, has reminded senior police officers that effective leadership is not about isolation but connection, empathy, and inspiring others.

He said this while officially opening the leadership development training course for senior officers at Keetmanshoop.

The more than 40 Chief Inspectors drawn from different units across the country will be equipped with leadership skills, principles of crisis management, resolving conflicts, and performance.

The training is facilitated by the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management.

Commissioner Katamila officially opened the five-day training course on behalf of Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo.

"Remember that leadership is not a solitary endeavour. It thrives in collaboration, empathy, and understanding. True leaders don't stand atop a pedestal; they stand shoulder to shoulder with their teams, facing challenges head-on and celebrating victories as one cohesive unit."

Commissioner Katamila encouraged the participants to fully exploit the benefits presented through training.
