Namibian boxer Charles "SuperShine" Shinima recently signed a one-year contract with AC Boxing Promotions after his departure from the Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing & Fitness Academy.

Sport producer Victorine Kaaronda caught up with the boxer to find out the reason behind his departure from Sunshine.

Born in 1992 in Ondangwa, Panduleni Charles Shinima fell in love with boxing at a very young age, inspired by Namibian boxing legends Hitman Moses and Paulus Ambunda.

In 2018, Shinima joined the Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Academy with the hope of pursuing his dream of becoming one of the greatest boxers. However, that dream was put on hold earlier this year when Shinima suffered his first loss against Denis Nurja from Albania.

After that, the Eenhana-raised boxer was absent for a while but has now returned to the scene, this time representing AC Boxing Promotions.

NBC Sport reached out to Shinima's previous promoter, Nestor Tobias, regarding the matter, but he opted not to comment at this time.

The 32-year-old Shinima also spoke about his loss in Albania.

The boxer is set to return to the ring on September 14th at the Roman Catholic Hall, where he will face Stephanus Kakololo from Bulelo Promotions.

In conclusion, Shinima lives by the principle of bettering himself as a man, supporting his family at all times, and respecting what brings bread to the table.
