The National Democratic Party (NDP), led by President Martin Lukato, launched its manifesto, outlining a vision to address Namibia's key challenges. Lukato emphasized the party's dedication to transforming healthcare, tackling youth unemployment, and promoting transparency in government.

A central theme of his speech was the urgent need for improved healthcare across the country's 14 regions. “Our manifesto is built on the principles of inclusivity and fairness," Lukato said. "We believe in a society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive. We will invest in education, improve healthcare, and create economic opportunities that reach every corner of our nation.”

Lukato also highlighted the party’s plans to combat climate change and address the ongoing drought. He vowed that under an NDP government, Namibia would transition into a greener, more resilient economy. “Our second commitment is to sustainable development. Climate change and environmental degradation are urgent issues, and we must act decisively. Our manifesto includes ambitious plans to transition to renewable energy, promote sustainable practices, and protect our natural resources.”

The NDP’s Vice President echoed these sentiments, promising a government that serves all Namibians equally, free from corruption and favoritism. “We recognize the importance of transparency and accountability in governance. Our manifesto pledges to restore trust in public institutions by promoting ethical practices, enhancing transparency, and ensuring that leaders are accountable to the people they serve. We are committed to building a government that listens, responds, and acts in the interest of its citizens.”
