The Action Democratic Movement (ADM) is adamant about securing a two-thirds majority in the National Assembly come November 27th.

Party president Vincent Kanyetu made the remarks at a media conference at Rundu, where the party released the names of its national secretaries.

The national secretaries are Jason Mwakondange as Head of Mobilisation, Vaino Matende, Head of Presidential Affairs, Eneas Paulus, Head of Communication and Administration, and Silvanus Shuumbwa, Head of Transport and People's Support.

Moses Nyundu is the Secretary General, and Erastus Shuumbwa Nangolo is the party's presidential candidate.

"We are not a fly-by-night political party. We are here, and our mission and aim is to make sure that whatever agenda of the liberation struggle that is pending now, we are here to fulfil it. Ours is to make sure that we are going, and we must get a two-thirds majority in this election to make sure that things need to change," said Kanyetu.

One of the issues at the top of the party's priority list is to change all the laws they consider unfair towards Namibians.

"We are going to change the untouchable laws that have been pending since 1990. The laws that prevent Namibians from benefiting in one way or another. Laws that disadvantage the majority of Namibian citizens from their own resources, whether mineral or whatever."

ADM promises to improve the state of hospitals and schools, remove the red line, and bring an end to shacks.

If elected, the party says it will significantly reduce the price of Namibian-produced food products to end hunger.

The party is yet to have a congress, citing a lack of funds.
