17 entrepreneurs from the Kavango West Region received equipment for their businesses through the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade's Equipment Aid Scheme. 

Since the scheme's introduction nearly 15 years ago, 2,780 beneficiaries nationwide have received assistance. 

Handing over the equipment to the beneficiaries, the Deputy Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Verna Sinimbo, said the initiative is an investment in the future of the people of Kavango West. 

Some of the equipment includes sewing machines and welding equipment.
