MVA Fund urges affected fatal Auas Road crash families to claim benefits

The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has extended an invitation to families affected by the tragic crash on Auas Road on Tuesday to submit claims for funeral and injury grants, loss of support, and loss of income benefits.

The crash, which occurred at approximately 18:11 near the Truck Port in Windhoek, claimed two lives and left 11 others with injuries ranging from moderate to severe. According to the MVA Fund, one passenger, who was entrapped, died at the scene, while one driver passed away later at Lady Pohamba Private Hospital.

The MVA Fund encourages families to visit its service centre in Windhoek to begin the claims process. In addition, the Fund, along with its road safety partners, urges all road users to exercise vigilance and caution when travelling.
