Some entrepreneurs at the just-ended 7th Rundu Annual Trade Fair described the event as a success.
Lukas Soulja Nekongo is the General Manager of WHK INK Tattoo Studio and Piercing and has been frequenting the Rundu Annual Trade Fair since its inception in 2018.
He kept coming back because his services were popular, not only among the locals but also the visitors during this period.
Rozita Tjilunda is a carpenter and cabinet maker. This was her first time exhibiting at the Rundu Trade Fair. Tjilunda said the Ministry of Gender, through its various projects, assisted her in successfully establishing her business.
Apart from the training she has received, the ministry also provided her with equipment and paid for the stall.
Tjilunda said her focus as a first-time exhibitor was not to make sales but rather to market herself.
Elizabeth Hilger is a regular at the Rundu Trade Fair. She specialises in locally produced moringa products, saying they are a hit countrywide.
She said business started to boom, thanks to the nbc's Wato FM radio, which provided affordable advertising rates for SME's during the duration of the trade fair.
