Leadership is not about sitting in offices and making proposals; it’s about going out to the people and understanding how to solve their problems.
These were the remarks made by Independent Patriots of Change’s (IPC) presidential candidate, Dr. Panduleni Itula, at a rally held in Windhoek today (Sat).
Itula assured voters that once the IPC is voted into power, it will make sure that informal settlements will become something of the past.
According to the party’s manifesto, the party plans to address the issue of informal settlements by launching a national programme to formalise informal settlements, provide basic services, and secure tenure.
The IPC further plans on partnering up with financial institutions to administer low-cost housing and declare housing a state of emergency to accelerate the construction of housing for the population with a minimum of one million units within four years.
