The Christian Democratic Voice (CDV) has pledged to take action on climate change, invest in education, and prioritise the needs of the people.
CDV updated its members and other attendees on its manifesto while canvassing for support at a church service held at Okahandja.
The CDV is a Christian-based political movement focused on applying biblical principles to governance while maintaining a commitment to the nation's responsibilities.
The party emphasised its commitment to protecting citizens' futures, defending their rights, and ensuring affordable healthcare.
Its National Executive Bishop Gerson ||Hoëbeb elaborated on the importance of leading Namibia with God's wisdom.
||Hoëbeb stated that one of the party's key goals is to restore the country's biblical foundation, which he believes has been lost in a system now dominated by selfishness and greed.
"Who knows that the best schools in Namibia are off churches? Do you know St. Boniface College and St. Paul College? It's from the church; do you guys know that? The church is running the best schools. So what we are saying is that we are going to bring in the syllabus and godly foundations, and they are going to be in primary schools. It is going to be implemented. When it comes to youth unemployment, a person with a degree and doctorate does not know where to start because we do not create our manufacturing industries as it has been stopped. The pain we are carrying is that the person is unemployed, poor, and also hungry."
||Hoëbeb is optimistic that, with collective economic power and the right mindset, Namibia could afford to provide every elder with a pension grant of N$3,500.
CDV Member Helmut Cloete, who spoke on behalf of the party's presidential candidate, Gothard Kandume, directed Namibians to respect the state's authority, adding no authority exists without God's permission.
"Everyone, including the church, including the Namibian nation, must obey state authorities because no authority exists without God's permission and the existing authorities have been put there by God. We have to declare Namibia as a Christian state."
