Khorixas residents have welcomed the first vocational training centre in the region, which was inaugurated by President Nangolo Mbumba last year.

The state-of-the-art VTC currently offers four trades: plumbing and pipe fitting, bricklaying and plastering, joinery and cabinet making, and air conditioning and refrigerating.

Currently, 97 students are enrolled, mostly from the region.

The regional councillor, Sebastian !Gobs, is pleased with the establishment of the VTC in the town and expressed gratitude to the government for listening to the community on naming and intake of the students, with the majority coming from the region.
