Police Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, has called on police cadet constables undergoing their training at the Ruben Danger Ashipala Police Training Centre to take their training seriously and excel as they await their graduation in May.

He also advised them to steer clear of loan sharks, use their money wisely for the betterment of their lives, and assist their parents and family members.

He says the force has added management, financial management, and leadership courses to enable the trainees to become quality leaders of tomorrow.

He was addressing 908 trainees of Ruben Danger Ashipala at Ondangwa, who are part of the 1,800 cadet constables undergoing a 9-month training throughout the country.

Their training comprises theory, physical training, and integrated learning.

The Inspector General called on the trainees to be ready to serve the nation without discrimination and favouritism and to be professional at all times.
