NAMDIA has maintained that it will hold a press briefing on the heist only when the time is appropriate.

Spokesperson Beverley Coussement emphasized that the robbery remains under investigation and that discussing unverified details could compromise efforts to resolve the case.

The diamond marketing company was robbed about two weeks ago, resulting in two fatalities: a suspected robber and the company’s senior protection officer.

"We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available," Coussement stated.

Since the incident, media reports have presented conflicting accounts based on various sources.

Media Ombudsman John Nakuta criticized the communication strategies of both NAMDIA and NamPol, stating that they have been inadequate.
