Strengthening partnerships in education, agriculture, ICT, and skills development is high on the agenda for the newly accredited Heads of Mission to Namibia.

Five of the eight diplomats who presented their letters of credence to President Nangolo Mbumba today emphasised these as key areas of cooperation while reaffirming their countries' commitment to strong bilateral ties with Namibia.

Of the eight Heads of Mission, only India's Rahul Shrivastava and Japan's Shinichi Asazuma are resident diplomats, while the rest are concurrently accredited to Namibia and South Africa.

While they will continue where their predecessors left off, the two diplomats pledged to also identify new areas of cooperation following brief discussions with President Mbumba.

Others are from Switzerland, Lithuania, and Kuwait.
