Education, financial, and government stakeholders hosted a Career Guidance Day at a school in Windhoek.

The event aimed to provide information on various topics, including career guidance, loan applications, and bursaries.

Hosted in collaboration with various stakeholders, the Career Guidance Day sought to give students clear direction for their futures while fostering stronger relationships within the community and among key stakeholders.

The event also helped learners familiarize themselves with key stakeholders and provided them with information on how to apply for student loans, bursaries, scholarships, and university admissions.

Grade 11, Grade 12, and former students of Jacob Marenga Secondary School attended the event to gather information that would assist them in making informed career decisions.

Rodman Katjaimo, the Councillor of Katutura Central Constituency, emphasized the importance of hard work despite challenges.

"Therefore, I want to encourage you young people: do not let anything limit what you want to achieve; that's a bottom line—don't let them! Don't let anybody tell you that because you came from this background, you are not going to succeed in life."

Zaalda Van der Byl, a representative of a local bank, provided finance and career guidance to students.

Toini Annis, an electrical instructor at NamPower, encouraged students to never give up on their chosen career paths.

"I can still apply for a bursary, and I can then further my studies if I want to become an engineer, and trust me, I will, and I will challenge!"

Augustinum Emmanuel, a representative from the Namibia Student Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF), guided the students on how to apply for student loans.

"One will be required to provide their documents when completing the application, as you are required to submit all the documents that I am going to mention here. To start off, the first document is the full birth certificate."

Student representatives from various universities presented on university admission requirements and procedures while also discussing campus culture.
