The High Court has once again postponed a judgement in Nigel Van Wyk's review application for some charges against him to be dropped.
His lawyer, Mbanga Siyumunji, informed nbc News that the judgement for Van Wyk's review application has been set for March 25.
Van Wyk, in his application, contends that his alleged role in the scandal has been exaggerated and that the charges do not accurately reflect his actions or involvement.
Van Wyk, implicated as one of the players in the Fishrot scandal, is alleging procedural flaws and a lack of legal merit in the prosecution's decision to prosecute him and wants to be exonerated.
Van Wyk's trouble with the law started when he reportedly denied police officers access to his employer, Sacky Shanghala's farm, when officers wanted to arrest Shanghala and James Hatuikulipi.
Both Shangala and Hatuikulipe are accused in the Fishrot case.
He was subsequently released on a warning and rearrested shortly after he allegedly removed incriminating evidence from Shaghala's office while the latter was incarcerated.
