The Swapo Party has said the late President Hage Geingob will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication to the struggle for equal opportunities for all Namibians.

In a statement, Swapo Party's Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa on behalf of the ruling party, said his traits of resilience and passion for the people and his leadership will continue to reignite their commitment to a better Namibia for all.

The Swapo Party said the late Geingob was a true leader whose revolutionary spirit still lives on.

The party said his enduring vision will continue to guide the nation towards a future of unity, equality, and prosperity.

Swapo pointed out that Namibia's democratic milestones are thanks to the visionary leadership of leaders like Geingob, who pushed the idea of One Namibia One Nation.

The Swapo Party added that Geingob and his generation made great strides in undoing the injustices of the colonial era, advanced women's rights, improved education, provided quality healthcare, and improved the rights of the workers, among other developments.

The late President Hage Geingob served as Swapo's President from 2007 till the time of his death.
