Indonesia has expressed solidarity with Namibia, following the death of Founding President Sam Nujoma.

Its Ambassador, Wisnu Edi Pratignyo, conveyed the message of solidarity to President Nangolo Mbumba at State House.

Pratignyo also bid farewell to President Mbumba as he concludes his diplomatic term in Namibia.

President Mbumba expressed his gratitude to Pratignyo for the condolences and recognised the difficulties Namibia is currently facing. He emphasised the significance of maintaining unity, peace, and stability during this challenging period, highlighting the nation's capacity to overcome adversity. 

Mbumba also acknowledged the global connections of the late Dr. Nujoma and urged Namibians to honour his memory responsibly.
