All logistics related to the memorial service of the late Founding President Sam Nujoma on Friday at the Independence Stadium are on course.
The Minister of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Emma Theofelus, stated that considerations to cater for elements outside the government's control, such as weather conditions and the exact numbers of people to attend, are being considered.
Transport arrangements have been made for the residents of the |Khomas Region to attend the memorial service and burial ceremonies, and pick-up points will be communicated in due course.
Minister Theofelus has announced that the government has received confirmations of attendance from delegations with some made up of current and former heads of state.
Angola, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Finland, Cuba, and Sahrawi Arab have so far confirmed.
On the burial, Theofelus said the writings on the tombstone are also being finalised in consultation with the Nujoma family.
