The Office of the Prime Minister continued distributing drought food relief this week to residents of the Oshikoto Region.
Two members of the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs were tasked with distributing the drought relief food, and they began their journey on Monday in the Nehale Lyampingana Constituency.
The team drove nearly 400 km to ensure all beneficiaries at Olukapa Centre received their portions. Yesterday, the team visited the Epembe Constituency in the Ohangwena Region.
Residents could not contain their joy as they received their monthly drought relief baskets, which, to their surprise, included a 50 kg bag of rice.
The 50 kg bags of rice are part of a consignment of 27,000 bags donated last month by the Government of China to Namibia's drought relief programme.
