Ministry of Education announces school holidays on 25 and 27 November

The Ministry of Education has declared 25 and 27 November as school holidays, following guidance from the Office of the Prime Minister. 

According to the Ministry, all hostels will remain open on 25 November and throughout the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections scheduled for 27 November. 

Thunderstorm damages homes in Aranos

 A thunderstorm struck Aranos in the Hardap Region on Tuesday, causing the roofs of several residents' homes to blow off. 

Wind-borne pieces of the roof sheets struck two children, causing them to sustain minor injuries. 

OPM hosts first GCS workshop for local authorities

Held in Mariental, the workshop brought together public relations officers from local authorities across the country.

Omaheke Council begins clearing land for community garden

The Omaheke Regional Council, in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister, has started clearing a 13-hectare piece of land earmarked for a community garden.

The land is on the outskirts of Talismanus in the Otjombinde Constituency.

Integrity committees urged to uphold code of conduct

Since the full implementation of integrity committees within the public service four years ago, the Public Services Management Division in the Office of the Prime Minister has managed to train about 400 integrity committee members across all government agencies, ministries, and regional councils.
