Namibia, Portugal, and the European Union have reaffirmed cooperation in various fields.

Portugal's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nuno Sampaio, represented both his country and the EU at President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's inauguration.

Dr. Sampaio delivered official letters from Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and European Council President António Costa to President Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House.
