Project HOPE Namibia has begun redirecting former beneficiaries of the project to government ministries for continued support, following its closure.
Those in need of gender-based violence or reproductive health services are advised to visit Ministry of Health and Social Services facilities; orphans and vulnerable children (ages 0–17) are referred to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare.
The closure comes after international funding cuts from the U.S. during the administration of President Donald Trump.
As a result, the NGO can no longer provide direct services under the project.
Project HOPE says it remains committed to seeking new funding to continue its mission of uplifting vulnerable communities in Namibia.
